The Holiday Inn Airport and Legends 102.7 will set the stage for another highly anticipated evening of rock n’ roll. The annual “Sock Hop” is a favorite of the community as we once again enjoy the 50’s and 60’s! Organizers will donate proceeds from this event which helps Mercy Flight Central maintain our life-saving services. Join family and friends as MFC welcomes emcee Paul Jason of Legends 102.7 who will again host the evening festivities. Get ready to hand jive with live band, “The Generations”, a 50’s and 60’s rock & roll band playing our all-time favorites. Guests are welcome to come dressed for the 50’s and 60’s complete with bobby socks and poodle skirts. There will be a wide selection of raffle/silent auction items to bid on. Cash bar and on site restaurant open throughout the evening. Join us for a Run or Walk along the trail to beautiful Canandaigua Lake. Participants can either run or walk the 3.1 mile course beginning at Finger Lakes Community College with the run or walk continuing on Lakeshore Boulevard returning to the campus. Plenty of food and beverages will be on hand. The Mercy Flight Central C7 medically equipped helicopter will join the festivities with a fly in and remain on site for community viewing for a few hours which is dependant on availability, weather and emergency calls. Proceeds from this event helps Mercy Flight Central maintain our life saving services. Support of this fundraiser effectively strengthens this trusted service in our community. Dan's Crafts & Things will host a fundraiser on Saturday, June 9th as part of their 38th Anniversary Celebration. During this open house event, the store will be donating a portion of sales of its Remote Controlled Helicopters to Mercy Flight Central. They will also be holding a silent auction for prizes donated by the store and its suppliers, all for the benefit of Mercy Flight Central. Dan's expert staff will be accompanied by industry leaders as they demonstrate the most recent craft and hobby products. There will also be children's activities, door prizes and light refreshments available at this celebration. The public is invited to attend. A unique fundraiser will take place on Sunday, July 22nd. The Hilton Rotary and Bud Hendershot of Hendershot Airport has welcomed the community to a "fly-in" breakfast to benefit Mercy Flight Central. Aircraft from near and far will land at the runway located in Hilton, NY. Aircraft will be moved out of the hangars and made available to accommodate visitors to a full breakfast then stroll around the grounds viewing various aircraft, vintage as well as classic automobiles. The Mercy Flight Central C7 medically equipped helicopter will joint he festivities mid-morning with a fly in and remain on site for community viewing for a few hours which is dependent on availability, weather and emergency calls. Plane rides in the past (excluding the MFC helicopter) have been available for the brave of heart. Approximately 2,000 visitors will partake in the event. Hilton Rotary will donate proceeds from this event which helps Mercy Flight Central maintain our life saving services. The Genesee Valley - Henrietta Moose Family Center welcomes the community to an afternoon of country music. Four to five live bands are being considered for country enthusiasts to kick up their heels and enjoy an afternoon of music, hot food, baked goods and beverages for the thirsty dancers as well as guests who simply enjoy the variety of music and partake in the 50/50 raffle or auction items on display. Mercy Flight Central will hold the 20th Annual Golf Tournament to be held at one of the most prestigious golf resorts in our area. Bristol Harbour Golf Resort in Canandaigua, NY has spectacular views overlooking Canandaigua Lake that will set the mood for a day of camaraderie for all participants and guests. A shot gun start will begin the tournament for players to partake on the 18-hole course, followed by cocktail hour, banquet, auctions and awards ceremony. The Highlander Cycle Tour will become bicycle enthusiasts to an annual charity bicycle tour with partial proceeds to Mercy Flight Central. This event will be held in the NY Finger Lakes Wine Country and surrounding hills. Bristol Mountain Ski Resort has welcomed over 700 riders to begin their journey through the Finger Lakes Wine Country. Breathtaking views will run the course through winding country roads surrounded by vineyards, meandering creek valleys, lake shores and through small villages. This event is well suited to every skill level, from short and easy to extreme challenge plus individual and team trials. Riders and guests will enjoy food, drink and music upon their return.
